Graduate Scholars Orientation
Graduate Scholars Orientation will be held August 20, 2009 & August 21, 2009. Incoming graduate students who receive funding from the National Science Foundation are required to attend. Students only need attend one of the sessions.
Increasing emphasis is being place on the Responsible Conduct of Research throughout the academy. No graduate education will be complete without having received training and mentoring in topics including:
• Mentor/Trainee Relations
• Collaborative Science
• Scientific Misconduct
• Data Ownership & Management
• Publications & Authorship
• Peer Review
• Conflicts of Interest
The Graduate Scholars Orientation acts as the cornerstone for a program designed to provide USU’s graduate students with the information they need to meet society’s expectations for conducting research with integrity.
